Log Cabin Room

One of the most popular displays at the Bremer County Historical Society Museum is the Log Cabin Room. The original house was dismantled and moved from the Erwin Koschmeder farm north of Knittel. Visitors enjoy imagining what life must have been like for those hardy souls long gone, who scratched a living from the fields and forests of the new county--named after feminist author Fredrika Bremer--blazing a trail for those of who would follow.
